Young Fathers

There are two components to meet the different needs of young fathers:
1. School age fathers learn job readiness, parenting and relationship skills while attending school.
2. Dads who are no longer in school receive fatherhood development, pre-employment training, peer support, learn how to establish paternity and become involved parents.
In the programs for school age dads and those who are no longer in school, dads receive services that include:
- Parenting and child development education
- Fatherhood development
- Career planning, life skills and job readiness training
- Educational support services, including GED
- Case management services
- Young fathers support group
- Individual counseling (referrals and financial assistance)
- Assistance with paternity establishment and child support orders
- Vocational/job training referrals
- Work experience opportunities
- Referrals for other services
- Support services (baby supplies and equipment, transportation assistance, etc.)

Populations Served: Young fathers or fathers-to-be aged 14-21 who live in the Denver metro area
